Sri Kundeshwara Temple Kundapura
The main attraction of Kundapura is Sri Kundeshwara temple.
The temple is dedicated to lord Kundeshwara (Lord Shiva). The temple is
one of the main temples of Kundapura taluk and it is said that the
Kundeshwara temple has built by Kundavarma. The temple lies in the
vicinity of the Panchagangavali River.

The main deity Kundeshwara is enshrined in the black stone in Garbha griha. The Shiva Linga is about 4-feet high. Only 75% of it is visible because it is kept on the platform and the rest is under the earth.

The Kundeshwara temple at Kundapura also houses other deities in the temple premises. The other deities are Lord Ganesha and Goddess Parvathi.
The main festival of the temple is the 'Kundeshwara Deepotsava' celebrated with great devotion. This festival attracts huge number of devotees.
