About Temple:

This temple is situated on a Bank of pancha gangavali river, kharvi keri, kundapura. The temple is very old and belongs to Kharvi community for more than 300 years.The above peace loving community have been doing pooja since long back, with a grand annual programme , Maari Pooja, Holi Festival every year.

The devi is self manifested on a black stone, The Kharvi community people still pray to her for their problems of houses, shops etc.,and they have a tradition of worshipping her before any functions like marriage, house warming, namakaran etc.
