Kundapura Chicken Recipe



Ingredients Needed:

  1. 2 Kg Chicken
  2. 2 Coconut
  3. 8-9 Tsp of Abhiruchi-Kundapur Chicken Masala Powder
  4. 4-5 Onion
  5. 7-8 Garlic
  6. Lemon sized Tamarind (Soaked in water)

Preparation method:

One Coconut to be grinded, the first, second, third, milk of the grinded coconut to be kept aside.
The balance half coconut to be crushed without using water & kept a side, washed chicken pieces along with little qty of butter and the masala as mentioned above & long cut onions along with salt to taste to be kept in a small flame for the chicken to be cooked.

While it is half baked the second portion of coconut milk, tamarind water and the crushed coconut to be mixed & again allow it to be cooked.
If needed salt & masala powder can be added later, the first portion of coconut milk should be mixed and the entire preparations to be boiled for 5-10min, after sliced garlic & onion to be fried in ghee or oil (if the chicken is not cooked in second ,milk portion of coconut the same should be cooked using  the third portion coconut milk).


Now your Special Kundapura Chicken Masala is ready to Serve..
