Mandarthi: First Yakshagana Seva play of 2013 performed today

Brahmavara, Nov 14 2013:
First Yakshagana play of the present year will be held today at Sri Durgaparameshwari temple Mandaarthi and also the main vow "BELAKINA SEVE" will be initiated.

5 Yakshagana melas will be on circuit for fulling the vows adn they'll play various topics related to places history of mandarthi and other historical topics and will try to please the goddess by the light of the Deevatige.

There is a list of over 930 plays to be performed in the duration of upcoming 6 months. 

SPECIAL ACTIONS:

The yakshagana artists will dress up and gear up their anklets at Barali Sri Mahaganapathi Temple first and they will start to perform the play.
It is believed the Barali Sri Mahaganapathi is responsible for the Yakshagana Sevas to be done.

TEAM OF ARTISTS:

There are totally 255 members in temples's 5 yakshagana melas including himmela, mummelas, and other team members.
Mandarthi Yakshagana Seva is too popular that all the 5 melas are completely booked till 2013-32.
I.e: 13,300 Vow plays has be registered.
