India Of My Dreams - Vishwas Aithal
However, India was never a united political entity until 1858, when the British rule welded the people into the country, one nation.
National unification that become inevitable paved the way for independence following the democratic rule on the mid night of august 15, 1947, despite some areas going for the creation of them - two Pakistan and Kashmir remaining a separate entity.
We got relieved of the British but were not released from the bondage of our penury, illiteracy, in security and selfishness.
I would, therefore like to see, in the first place,
That Each and every citizen, in my India, should posses a national character, which is absolutely essential to keep the banner of the country up.
Everybody should be selfless, patriotic, benevolent, broad – minded and self – sacrificing for the sake of this country.
As a child I always dreamed of fairies or being transported into fairy land perhaps all children likes fairs and love to dream of love to dream of things that are absent in the real world . For them, land of fairies and fantasies is a magical world where the mind is free enough to build impossible castle in the air. May my India look like real fairy land to the children?
So that they are happy and able to view the fabric of perfect loveliness and pulchritude
“Hum honge kamyab ek din ” -keeping this motto in mind, let us, therefore, try to eradicate all the evils of society and acquire the requisite culture, discipline, attitude and habit of tolerance, good will and mutual respect, so that every one of us, one day, will have so clean a heart and so pure mind that he will have a glimpse of a novel dawn, and the first rays of the sun, that day will be truly golden , enough to fulfill my dreams.
