Kundapura: Parking fee collector’s ‘Goondagiri’ at Railway station
Kundapura, Dec 10 2013:
A case has been registered against a Parking Fees collector at Kundapur Police station on Saturday for demanding excess fees than what is printed on the ticket.
The victim of fees collector’s goondagiri was Shankarnarayana Forest Dept.staff Anand Balegara. He came to the railway station with his friend Kiran,to drop one of his relative.
He parked his motor bike outside the railway station and went to see- off his relative. When he returned to his bike,a person was standing with Rs.2/- receipt in his hand and asked him to pay Rs.5/-. When Anand started arguing for his demand of Rs.5/- for a receipt of Rs.2/-,the fees collector started insulting Anand as if he made a big crime. “You think I am a beggar to ask Rs.2/- from you? If you are not able of pay Rs.5/-,then why you came here?”. He started acting as if some spirit has entered his body.
Surprised by his action,Anand went to the station master and made a complaint. But station master did not hear Anand’s allegation and said this is not related to railway department and gave him a free advise to go to the police station. After hearing the police complaint, the fees collector once again started shouting “I will see which police is coming here and remember, something different will happen if you come here again” he threatened Anand.
Anand is questioning “If this is happening with a responsible govt.officer, then what about a common man”.
