Manipal: FIVV cake mixing ceremony

MANIPAL, December 06:

The traditional ceremony of cake mixing is considered to usher in glad tidings, joy and happiness around Christmas time.  Fortune Inn Valley View celebrated the preparation of Christmas confectionery by inviting the hotel guests and staff to mix seasonal nuts and condiments for the exotic Christmas cake on Wednesday at the hotel.

Before the mixing ceremony got under way, General Manager of FIVV, Mr Uday Sharma briefly told the gathering why mixing the dry fruits for the cake is a ritual, an annual ceremony.

He said, “Christmas cake mixing is a tradition to celebrate togetherness and to also welcome the festive season”.

Dr. Vinod Bhat, Pro Vice Chancellor, Manipal University and Mrs P Gopalkrishnan, Principal of WGSHA were present along with the hotel guests
