Kundapura: Budding Journalist Vishnu Shettigar Killed in Road Accident

Kundapura, Oct 29 2013: A young Journalist was killed in a Bike and Bus collision in Vakwadi Bus-Stand here on Tuesday October 29 around 8.30 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Vishnu Shettigar (30) son of Sharada resident of Hoovinakere Road Vakwadi Kundapur Taluk. Vishnu Shettigar was working as a reporter of "Nimma Abhimatha" monthly magazine.

According to sources, Vishnu was heading to Koteshwara on his friend's Hero Honda Bike, when he reached Vakwadi Bus-Stand a Private Bus on its way to Beloor from Kundapur rammed into the Bike. Vishnu Shettigar sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. It is reported that negligence of the bus driver was the cause for the accident.

Kundapur DySP C B Patil, CPI Divakar, Traffic SI Imran and Prameshwarappa and other police officials visited the spot. A Case has been registered in Kundapur Traffic Police Station.
