Kundapura: HJV holds protest meet against vote bank politics of Congress
Kundapura, Oct 25 2013:
Hindu Jagarana Vedike held awareness meet "Hindu Janajagrithi" at Shasthri Circle Kundapur here on Thursday October 24.
Addressing the gathering Sathyajith Surathkal, State Coordinator of Hindu Jagarana Vedike said that the government and the officials are least concerned about the social problems of Hindus. He alleged that the state government having vested interests in vote bank politics is hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Dropping the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 1964 has ruined the hopes of Hindus in the Government, he added.
"Our country is so called secular but we Hindus are experiencing insecurity. We have formed groups to secure our cows and we warn the departments that we are ready to face any charges". Hindus must unite to lead a progressive and dignified life, he opined.
HJV Taluk co-ordinators Bhaskar Siddapur, Rajesh Koteshwar were present. Bhaskar Siddapur delivered the vote of thanks. Arvind Koteshwar compered the programme.
