Maravanthe: Temple Priest Dies in a Road Accident

Kundapura, Dec 16 2013: 
A collision between car and lorry near Marawanthe beach claimed the life of a temple Priest here on December 13.
The deceased has been identified as Uday Kumar (42) priest at Munti Maru Durgaparameshwari Temple, Manchi, Bantwal Uday Kumar was on his way back from Gokarna with Dr Kishan Kumar Sulya, from Mangalore.

A lorry crashed into Uday Kumar's car trapping him inside with serious injuries. The helpline team of Gangolli arrived at the spot and pulled Kumar out of the car. He breathed his last on the way to Kundapur Hospital. Dr Kishan Kumar having sustained minor injuries is recovering.
Soon after the crash the driver along with the lorry is said to have fled from the spot. The police have started their investigation, and search is on for the driver and the lorry. CPI Diwakar with Gangolli PSI Sampath Kumar have conducted spot investigations and have recorded the statement of Dr Kishan Kumar.
A case has been registered in Gangolli Police station and the investigation is on.
